“It helps in both losing weight and also in protecting yourself, definitely one “exercise” that is healthy and beneficial for each individual,” he added
Muay Thai is a hard martial art originated from Thailand. It is similar to the other Indochinese styles of kickboxing namely ‘pradal serey’ from Cambodia, ‘tomoi’ from Malaysia, ‘lethwei’ from Myanmar and ‘Muay Lao’ from Laos. Muay Thai is also referred to as the ‘Art of Eight Limbs’ or the ‘Science of Eight Limbs’ because it makes use of punches, kicks, elbows and knee strikes, thus using eight ‘points of contact’.
The Muay Thai workshop charges RM130 per pax and was a full day session. The event also saw winners walking away with exciting prizes from lucky draw sessions.
“We hope that more non-members will join us in our regular Muay Thai classes. This is one experience that everyone should have. Through these classes, you will be able to achieve a balanced mind, body and soul,” concluded Choi.
